IP Address Usage Policy

AtlantaWebHost.com, a service of Atlanta Networking and Computer Help, supports name-based hosting in order to conserve limited IP address resources.

IPv4 addresses, on which the Internet is built, are in increasingly short supply. ARIN, the organization responsible for administrating the IP address space, has enacted a policy to encourage name-based hosting.

IP addresses will be provided to shared-hosting customers who have a justifiable need. The primary reason for which a unique IP address will be provided is to run an SSL site with a dedicated certificate.

Dedicated and co-located server customers will always be provided with an IP address since every physical server requires at least one unique address.
